Before teaching, Richard Pool— AKA Fresh Corn—hitchhiked across the US, backpacked through Europe, hopped trains in Mexico, worked construction, earned two master’s degrees, and ministered at a homeless shelter.
A love of music and search for true love drove his odyssey. He has been happily married for forty-six years, has three children and four granddaughters. He writes to the clip clop of Amish buggies rolling down his street.
